Civil and pipeline installation works for part of the second return-water line at Miduk, undertaken by F.O. Pajand as a subcontractor to Hamoun Transmission Line Company.
The project expands infrastructure for returning process water to the Miduk Concentrator at the Shahr-e Babak Copper Complex. The ultimate client is the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, while the main contract was awarded to Hamoun Transmission Line Company. Under its subcontract with Hamoun, F.O. Pajand is responsible for material procurement and execution of the assigned portion of the works. Pajand's initial contract period was six months.
The overall scheme includes approximately 410 metres of 24-inch steel pipe together with valves, connections and supports. Pajand's contractual scope includes civil works and elements of pipeline installation, ranging from route preparation and excavation to concrete foundations and pedestals, fabrication and erection of steel supports and associated pipework. Protective coatings, insulation and testing are also covered by the project documents.
A key technical requirement is coordination between foundations, structural supports and pipeline installation to ensure alignment, stability and correct operation. Weld quality, connections and corrosion protection are important controls. The works support industrial water circulation infrastructure at the Miduk mining complex.
