01PROJECT OVERVIEW

Construction of an entrance building, weighbridge facilities and site infrastructure at Shimi Baft's MTBE plant in Bandar Mahshahr.

The project was established to upgrade access and renew vehicle control and weighing infrastructure at the Shimi Baft Petrochemical MTBE production plant. Located at Site 3 of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone in Bandar Mahshahr, the contract was awarded to F.O. Pajand in Azar 1403 (Iranian calendar), with an initial eight-month duration.

Pajand's scope covers the entrance building and weighbridge room, two weighbridge foundations and associated sumps, a northern perimeter wall, external works and electrical and mechanical services. It also includes demolition of old weighbridge buildings, waste removal and reorganisation of existing landscape areas. Pajand is responsible for procuring the structural, architectural and building-services materials.

Constructing weighbridge foundations in wet ground with a high groundwater table requires careful subgrade preparation, settlement control and surface-water drainage. Work inside a busy petrochemical facility also requires coordination with industrial traffic and strict site safety procedures. The works are intended to improve access control and the movement of vehicles and materials.
