Two steel-framed core-storage warehouses, associated external works and facilities for mineral exploration, delivered by F.O. Pajand as a subcontractor to Hamoun Transmission Line Company.
This project forms part of the development of core-storage and processing infrastructure for the National Iranian Copper Industries Company in Varzeqan. F.O. Pajand carried out its assigned works as a subcontractor under an agreement with Hamoun Transmission Line Company, the main contractor. The initial contract period was 24 months, covering core-storage warehouses and spaces associated with sample preparation and laboratory operations.
The principal works include two steel-framed warehouses with reinforced-concrete foundations and industrial flooring. Each warehouse has an approximate footprint of 1,190 m², a 22-metre clear span and a height of approximately 8 metres to the ridge. The scope also encompasses external works, access and loading areas, asphalt surfacing, a sample-preparation workshop and laboratory-related spaces. Floor design and site planning address heavy core racks and forklift movements.
Winter temperatures in the area can reach approximately −18°C, creating construction challenges for scheduling, concrete placement and protection of materials and equipment. Moisture exclusion and surface-water management are equally important to the protection of the buildings and geological samples. The completed infrastructure supports orderly storage, safe access and ongoing mineral exploration.
